class bpy.types.GeometryNodeRaycast(GeometryNode)#

Cast rays from the context geometry onto a target geometry, and retrieve information from each hit point

data_type#

Type of data stored in attribute

Type:

enum in Attribute Type Items, default ‘FLOAT’

mapping#

Mapping from the target geometry to hit points

  • INTERPOLATED Interpolated – Interpolate the attribute from the corners of the hit face.

  • NEAREST Nearest – Use the attribute value of the closest mesh element.

Type:

enum in [‘INTERPOLATED’, ‘NEAREST’], default ‘INTERPOLATED’

True if a registered node type
