This tool is similar to Đẩy Trồi các Mặt (Extrude Faces), but instead of moving all vertices along the same axis, it moves each vertex along its normal. This means an outward extrusion on a convex surface will make the faces larger, for example.
After extruding, the following options are available in the Điều Chỉnh Thao Tác Trước Đây (Adjust Last Operation) panel:
- Đảo Lật Pháp Tuyến (Flip Normals)
Flip the normals of the newly created faces, as they might be pointing the wrong way depending on the extrusion direction. See the Chiều Hướng của Mặt (Face Orientation) overlay of the 3D Viewport to check whether they are correct.
- Tiêu Hủy các Cạnh Trực Giao (Dissolve Orthogonal Edges)
When enabled, newly created faces will be merged with surrounding existing faces (potentially turning them into n-gons) if they form a flat surface together.
- Dịch Chuyển (Offset)
Distance to move the vertices.
- Dịch Chuyển Đồng Đều (Offset Even)
When disabled, each vertex is offset by the same distance. When enabled, each face is offset by the same distance.
This option can also be toggled while extruding by pressing S or holding Alt. (These shortcuts are shown in the status bar.)
- Biên Soạn Phản Chiếu Đối Xứng (Mirror Editing)
Enabling this option moves the corresponding vertices on the other side of the mesh without extruding any faces, making it not very useful here.
- Proportional Editing
Enabling this option also moves the surrounding unselected vertices along their normals, making it not very useful for extrusion.
