Introducción

Mesh modeling typically consists of roughly blocking out the shape using primitives, then using various tools to add detail and create more intricate parts.

The 3D Viewport has three principal modes for this:

Modo Objeto

Supports basic operations such as creating objects, joining objects, and managing shape keys and UV/color layers.

Modo Edición

Used for the majority of polygon-based mesh editing. This chapter mainly deals with this mode.

Modo Esculpido

An alternative editing mode which uses brushes to deform the mesh as though it were a piece of clay. See the Sculpting & Painting section.
